FIRST Lego League
FIRST Lego League (FLL) is a global program created to get kids excited about science and technology. FLL utilizes theme-based challenges to engage kids in teamwork, research, problem solving, programming and engineering. Since its inception in 1998, FIRST Lego League has reached more than 135,000 kids. FIRST was founded in 1989 by Dean Kamen (the inventor of the Segway). Welcome to ORBS
The Oklahoma Robot Builders Society (ORBS) was founded to help introduce Oklahoma children to science and technology. ORBS use the Lego Mindstorm robotics kit to support challenges provided by FIRST Lego League. The challenges include designing, building and programming the Mindstorm kit to perform tasks identified in the challenge. Teams are formed to compete in a yearly competition and are judged on robot design, robot performance, project presentation and team unity.
